Washington Post - Rave Review of Ailey's Uptown

The Friday and Saturday Ailey performances at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. were canceled due to "Snowmageddon," but before the snow paralyzed the city, AAADT did perform a few nights to sold out audiences.

Here is a rave review of dancer Matthew Rushing's Uptown, which will be among the pieces performed at the Auditorium March 24-28. "Uptown is what so many dance companies are yearning for these days: a work that unfurls a story, with vivid characters that tell us about themselves without the help of complicated program notes but solely -- and significantly -- in the way they dance."
