We were looking at the program notes today for Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet's upcoming Auditorium engagement, and we were truly amazed at the diversity of the company!
Cedar Lake's dancers hail from all over the U.S., as well as France, S. Korea, Romania, Spain, Japan and the Netherlands. The three choreographers are Canadian (Crystal Pite), Dutch (Didy Veldman) and Norwegian (Jo Stromgren). And the dancers and choreographers have ties to companies that are very familiar to Auditorium audiences: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Nederlands Dans Theater and Chicago's own Hubbard Street.
