Here's our box office hours for the next few days:

• Saturday, December 22 and Sunday, December 23: open for advance sales 10am-6pm; 6pm-7pm, that evening's Nutcracker sales only (if there is no line, they can accomodate advance sales; but that evening's show will take priority)
• Monday, December 24: 10am-2pm
• CLOSED Tuesday, December 25
• Wednesday, December 26 - Friday, December 28 - regular hours (noon until 6pm)
• Saturday, December 29: advance sales 10am-6pm; 6pm-7pm Nutcracker purchases
• Sunday, December 30: 10am-2pm for final Nutcracker show
• CLOSED Monday, December 31 and Tuesday, January 1

The Joffrey's "The Nutcracker" a hit!

It's the magical time of the year, when our gorgeous stage is filled with The Joffrey Ballet's magnificent The Nutcracker. Amazingly, this production is celebrating its 20th year! As we expect from The Joffrey, the show has garnered rave reviews - here's what the Tribune and Sun-Times had to say.

Thomas Young added to cast of Too Hot to Handel

We're thrilled to announce that tenor Thomas Young will be singing the tenor part in the January 20 performance of Too Hot to Handel! Young is, of course, one-third of the dynamic tenor trio Cook, Dixon and Young. His colleague Victor Trent Cook will sing in both shows, and Rodrick Dixon will sing the January 19 performance. So we'll get to hear all three members of Cook, Dixon and Young sing that weekend!

Thanksgiving Weekend Box Office Hours

As you can probably guess, the Auditorium box office will be closed on Thanksgiving. We will be open on Friday, November 23 from noon until 6pm for your ticketing needs. The box office will not be open on Saturday or Sunday this weekend.

Welcome and reminder - Complexions this weekend

Welcome to the new Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University blog! We'll use this space to give you all the latest Auditorium news - show announcements, pictures, video, reviews, etc.

Right how we're getting ready for this weekend's performances by Complexions Contemporary Ballet. This will be their first Auditorium engagement; in fact, it's their full Chicago premiere. (They did do one piece at the Chicago Dancing Festival this summer.)

This week we've had great preview articles in Time Out Chicago and the Tribune.

You can see their program on our website - it features a lot of company co-founder and co-artistic director Dwight Rhoden's choreography, set to music ranging from Prince to Chopin to Nina Simone. White Stripes fans may be interested in Abdur-Rahim Jackson's 2006 work tHe hArDeSt bUtToN to bUtToN, set to the song of the same name by the White Stripes.

Complexions performs Saturday, November 10 at 7:30pm and Sunday, November 11 at 2:00pm. Tickets ($49, $40, $34, $30) are available by phone at 312.902.1500, online or in person at the Auditorium Theatre box office, 50 E. Congress Parkway.
