Founder and Artistic Director, Boris Eifman, is one of the only choreographers in the world who is still creating new story ballets.

The ballet is a reinterpretation of the classic Don Quixote. This version is set in an asylum where a man who thinks he's Don Q inspires his fellow inmates with his daydreams of the beauties of Spain. Watch video of the Eifman Ballet.

If you love a good story ballet with a twist, The Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg's Don Quixote, or Fantasies of a Madman is the ballet to see this spring.

Student Rush: $15 Tickets For Eric Whitacre's Paradise Lost: Shadows and Wings

A groundbreaking work of music theater with book by Edward Esch, music by acclaimed composer Eric Whitacre and lyrics by director David Norona and Whitacre. Infused with the style of Japanese anime and manga, Paradise Lost is a powerful and visceral hybrid of musical theater, opera, electronica, film score and Asian drumming.

The story follows the last remaining tribe of angels, who were marooned as children in a post-apocalyptic Paradise and have now grown into young adulthood. Within their fortress they have created a militant, martial society, always training for the next attack, always afraid. One angel, Exstasis, remains untouched by the brutal world in which she lives and dreams only of flying.

Conducted by Whitacre, and starring Grammy-winning soprano Hila Plitmann, Paradise Lost also features a radically diverse chorus assembled by DCINY from all over the country.

Long before Natalie Portman starred the in the infamous Black Swan, Marius Petipa choreographed a ballet about enchantment, love and deception and set it to the stunning music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. For $15, escape this weekend's sub-zero temperatures, and watch as The State Ballet Theatre of Russia brings one of the world's most beloved ballets to life!

Too Hot to Handel: The Jazz-Gospel Messiah returns on January 15 at 7:30 pm and January 16 at 3 pm. This is not your grandmother's Messiah! More than 200 musicians - including an orchestra; jazz combo; soloists Rodrick Dixon, Alfreda Burke and Karen Marie Richardson; and the city wide Too Hot Choir take our stage. You'll hear jazz, gospel, blues, classical - even some rock 'n' roll.
